WORKSHOP - EQUINE MASSAGE THERAPY
Caroline Archambault in collaboration with EquiSource offers basic training in EQUINE MASSOTHERAPY. This training over 2 days aims to introduce you to the basic concepts of ethology (to properly handle the horse during the massage) and learn the basic maneuvers on equine massage therapy which will allow you to subsequently offer a relaxing massage to your horse.
PROGRAM
– The anatomy and functioning of certain muscles
– The different basic maneuvers on equine massage therapy and stretching
– Signs of tension in the horse as well as massage contraindications
– Duration of massage, approach, pressure, contact and rhythm
– Understand the communication mode
Friday: Introduction to ethology
